äh, also ich habe eine ganz triviale Idee.

Ein Bit kennt nur 1 oder 0. Ich meine, 1 steht für 1 * 2^0
Zwei Bits, 11 also, das sind 1 * 2^1 + 1 * 2^0 = 3.
Also ist die Hälfte von 11 (binär) die 1,
11 (binär) steht aber für 3 (dezimal) ????

let me try to explain it in english, although my english is not the very sophisticated.

Tow times 1, that means in binary digits 11, stands 4 (I mean for) 3.
Only one time 1 stands for 1.
One, not two times 1 is the then half of 11.
Then, and only under this premisses, 11 is the half of 1 in binary,
and 3 (dec) is then double 1 in binary numbers.
u have to mix bin and dec in an not very legal manner, then
proscrutes could abuse the 1 as the half of 3.

Am I right?

BTW:

I'm not sure whether the words "one" and "three" imply the decimal system.
IMHO these are only names of two well defined natural numbers and independent of the chosen representations.
