Hello Black, I just think that you think in a too complicated way. I consider it a gift from god to be able to do so, but sometimes it can be misleading. Read the numbers from one to ten slowly aloud and the answer will come to you. Really ! Come on, you do not strike me as a quitter. Give it another try !

On my keyboard SEVEN hasn't eaten any other number yet.
But locking on the numeric keyblock or the keys of my mobile phone I think it's a well known problem:
To be on the safe side SIX and NINE are no neighbours of SEVEN in these layouts.

Dear Black, this is a very old riddle. At that time keyboards and mobile phones were completely unknown ; we are speaking here quite simply of consecutive numbers as they have been in existence as long as mankind itself. Well on seconds thoughts, maybe not that long.
